Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, passion-driven Program Director to bring community partners and stakeholders together for effective collaboration around behavioral health initiatives. This role requires excellent meeting planning, communication, and facilitation skills, along with a love for research and data to support our work.

The Program Director will work closely with the President/CEO to support the board, manage working groups, plan convening events, and oversee program evaluation and performance. If you enjoy developing and implementing impactful projects, cultivating relationships with community and business leaders, diving into research, and using data to drive decisions, we’d love to hear from you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engage community and business leaders, as well as mental health experts, to develop programs that strengthen awareness of mental wellness and improve access to services.
  • Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders to deliver on shared objectives.
  • Plan and lead committee meetings, guiding the exploration and design of proposed solutions.
  • Support strategic and annual planning, goal development, and budget preparation.
  • Conduct research on best practices and trends, distilling findings into actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with the CEO to create dashboards that provide visibility into program outcomes.
  • Recruit and cultivate relationships with influential local leaders to support program goals.
  • Develop and monitor implementation plans to ensure alignment with objectives.
  • Identify and engage consultants as needed to support committees and initiatives.
  • Help establish internal business processes as the organization grows.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8–10 years of nonprofit experience in a management role, supporting boards, committees, or collaborative initiatives.
  • Direct experience with collective impact initiatives in a “backbone” capacity is strongly preferred.
  • Strong ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative, integrity, and time management.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Curiosity-driven, with a strong ability to identify external benchmarks and emerging trends.
  • Effective communicator and listener, comfortable working with diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Strong data analytical skills and experience developing and reporting on outcomes through dashboards.
  • Experience within the behavioral health ecosystem is preferred (can include volunteer work, partnerships, or direct program oversight).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Graduate degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, MPP) preferred.
  • Project Management certification or equivalent experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License required.
  • This role involves travel to meetings across the region and may require occasional night or weekend availability.
