🚀 Join Our Team as a Document Corrections Specialist! 🚀

Location: Hybrid - San Diego, California (92111)

Compensation: $20 - $23/hr on W2

Contract Duration: 6 months contract

Schedule: Monday - Friday

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Document Corrections Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this essential role, you’ll contribute to the smooth operation of our Investor Fulfillment functions and ensure that all collateral documents are accurate and aligned with the required policies, procedures, and guidelines.

As a Document Corrections Specialist I , you’ll be responsible for assisting the Department Manager with overseeing the document correction process for collateral and other critical documents.

What You'll Do:

  • File Maintenance: Create and maintain Correction files for identified loans, ensuring all necessary Blitz and original documents are included.
  • Document Review: Complete Document Discrepancy Worksheets and initiate Document Correction Checklists for each identified file.
  • Data Management: Add corrections to the Document Re-Recording Database and ensure proper documentation of any waivable corrections.
  • Collaboration: Maintain and send necessary copies to the GNMA Custodian and assist with GNMA corrections as needed.
  • Efficient Workflow: Manage file organization and assist in proofing and sending Servicing Released Assignments for recording.
  • Innovative Suggestions: Help optimize department efficiency by submitting suggestions for improved procedures, automation, and forms.
  • Versatile Support: Provide support in all areas of Document Management as needed and handle additional related duties.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of related mortgage experience preferred.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Wiki, and cloud-based collaborative tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, ensuring smooth coordination with stakeholders and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Able to effectively manage and act upon detailed information received through various communication methods (email, face-to-face, etc.).
