Position: Parts Director / Director of Parts Operations

Overview:

A well-established and respected bus dealership group in the Philadelphia area is seeking an experienced high volume multi-store Parts Director to lead and oversee all parts operations across multiple dealership locations. This is a senior leadership role that requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on management style and a deep understanding of parts operations, inventory control, and B2B sales logistics. It is important that the Parts Director hired is great at leading and developing their staff for long-term success. A strong wholesale parts background is a preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all parts operations across multiple dealership rooftops, ensuring consistency, profitability, and efficiency across the dealership group
• Oversee and optimize large-scale parts inventories, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitability
• Recruit, train, develop, and mentor parts department staff at all locations
• Implement best practices and processes for consistent performance across the network
• Drive B2B sales initiatives and manage the logistics associated with a 15-truck delivery fleet
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and manufacturers to ensure competitive pricing, strong support, and accurate order fulfillment
• Ensure proper handling and trackin g of core returns, warranty parts, and RMA processes, minimizing financial exposure
• Manage an outside sales team
• Manage an established parts call center
• Monitor and manage special orders, backorders, and emergency requests efficiently
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align parts operations with overall business goals
• Utilize CDK software to manage parts operations, reporting, and forecasting

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Parts Director or equivalent leadership role in a high-volume, multi-location dealership environment
• Strong knowledge of cor e return processes, warranty claims, and OEM parts programs
• Experience managing supplemental Parts Warehouses
• Demonstrated success managing inventory, forecasting needs, and streamlining parts logistics
• Deep understanding of wholesale part sales / B2B parts sales and related logistics, including delivery fleet operations
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style with a commitment to long-term departmental success
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and inspire teams across multiple sites
• Proficient in CDK (mandatory)
