Vaco is actively seeking a
Product Owner for a direct-hire opportunity to join an extremely stable and internationally respected financial services firm in St. Louis. (Please Note: No form of employment arrangement or sponsorship is available)
Position Summary The ideal candidate will blend exceptional communication, organization, and presentation skills coupled with technical proficiency within AWS ecosystems / migrations and DevOps experience in a SAFe environment.
This role will serve as the strategic link between cross-functional teams and senior executive stakeholders, translating business needs into actionable product features that drive innovation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple agile teams through the Scrum process ensuring successful delivery of critical, customer-facing projects.
- Guide teams in the effective use of Kanban principles to visualize work, limit WIP (Work in Progress), and optimize flow to ensure continuous delivery and incremental improvement in service delivery.
- Guide Agile / SAFe practices to facilitate the incremental and adaptive delivery of products within teams.
- Promote and facilitate the adoption of key engineering practices such as Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, and other methodologies to improve the quality and reliability of deliverables.
- Monitor and guide the team's progress toward their goals and commitments by improving quality, predictability, flow, and velocity.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, team demos, and retrospectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Scrum Master (or similar) with a proven track record of working in Agile / SAFe environments.
- Extremely strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with individuals at all levels or a structured international corporation.
- Familiarity with engineering best practices, such as CI/CD, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and DevOps principles.
- Prefer prior experience in a data-intensive, migration, and regulated environment.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
