Job Description

THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to support our company’s operations. In this role, you will oversee the receiving, inspection, documentation, organization, loading, unloading, and distribution of products at our warehouse in Jersey City, NJ. The majority of what we store is furniture, and experience with furniture inspection and handling is essential. You will manage warehouse space efficiently, ensuring smooth operations for both incoming and outgoing inventory. Strong communication skills are critical, as you will interact with clients regarding the items received.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive household goods from in-field teams and document, label and organize these items for short-term storage; they may need to be palletized or fork-lifted to racks
  • Communicate with the administrative team about when to ready items for re-delivery
  • When we receive furniture shipments from manufacturers, you will carefully uncrate or unbox items to very thoroughly inspect for defects and damages — and then document and communicate their condition
  • Input all items into our inventory management system 
  • Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehousing procedures
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized 

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • Proven warehouse experience with references
  • Experience inspecting and handling furniture
  • Ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
  • Forklift license
  • Adequate knowledge of warehouse data system and comfort with google 
  • Team player who is dependable and ORGANIZED
  • Ability to lift or move heavy products

  • Hours are 8am-5pm
  • You will be paid weekly on Fridays
