Name: VISTA Volunteer Program Serving Older Adults

This is a VISTA position with the Pikes Peak Area Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging (PPACG/AAA) to assist the Volunteer Program Manager in developing a volunteer program serving older adults. A great opportunity for someone going into a career serving older adults, community health, nonprofit work or a person seeking a solid project to apply their skills and talents at this time in their life.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

VISTAs will develop a volunteer program under the direction of the Volunteer Program Manager to serve older adults in the Pikes Peak Region which includes El Paso, Teller and Park Counties. They will work closely with experts in the older adult sector while they research best practices on robust volunteer programs from mobility training to chore support and many more. •Building out a robust volunteer program to serve older adults.

•Establish processes and procedures for volunteer management in the different Area Agency on Aging programs.

•Establish recruitment strategies for volunteers.

•Establish onboarding and volunteer retention activities.

•Report writing and experience with MS Office

•Work with older adults
