Position Summary:

As an Underwriter, you'll play a crucial role in assessing risk and ensuring the integrity of our personal lines business. You'll review new and existing policies, making informed decisions to protect both our clients and our company. Through your expertise, you'll help shape our competitive position in the market while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Essential Job Functions:

- Utilize a variety of data sources to evaluate personal lines risks and determine acceptability, making sound underwriting decisions.
- Foster strong relationships with agents and provide exceptional service to influence sales and retain existing customers.
- Stay informed about industry developments, product offerings, and regulatory changes, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Contribute to project teams, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared objectives and deliver exceptional results.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to support team goals.
- Maintain regular attendance and meet established work schedules, with hybrid/remote options available.

Education and Experience:

- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of insurance underwriting experience or equivalent experience as a producer or agent, preferably in non-standard auto insurance.
- Possession of residing state's Agents license preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with non-standard auto industry practices, trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in reviewing policy forms, endorsements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment within established guidelines, with a focus on attention to detail and organizational excellence.
- Effective listening skills, coupled with the ability to collaborate and problem-solve in a team environment.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 40,000.00 140,000.00 Per Year
