Description

SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer located in Warren, MI to support the US Army Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) to design, develop, and demonstrate leading-edge technologies for new manned and unmanned ground vehicle systems.

Job Duties:

  • Use a broad range of Systems Engineering principles to lead the execution and delivery of engineering work products for ground vehicle systems
  • Define, document, and manage detailed system requirements that drive the design and development process
  • Lead the integration of system components and conduct thorough testing to validate and verify system performance against requirements.
  • Develop and implement validation and verification plans to ensure system compliance with specified requirements and standards
  • Develop and articulate the Concept of Operations (CONOPS) for ground vehicle systems, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and operational contexts
  • Perform lifecycle cost analysis and estimation to support financial planning and decision-making processes.
  • significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors degree and nine (9) years of related experience; Masters degree and seven (7) years or related experience; additional four (4) years of experience accepted in lieu of degree

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Experience leading Systems Engineering aspects of a ground vehicle project/product team
  • Develop and mature system requirements and interface control documents in DOORS or other requirements management tool
  • Conduct trade studies and comparative performance assessments of system, subsystem, and component alternatives to inform overall system decisions/recommendations
  • Work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and customers throughout the process to develop and demonstrate integrated system design in accordance with requirements
  • Lead systems engineering aspects of technical reviews including SFR, SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR
  • Develop requirement verification matrices for system, subsystem, and component designs
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure product quality and performance
  • At least 4 years’ experience in system design, development, integration, and verification testing of ground vehicles
  • Working knowledge of the Government acquisition process desirable

REQUIRED CLEARANCE:

  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required).
