Position Details:

• Role: Contract Speech-Language Pathologist
• Location: Schools near Westchester, NY
• School Year: 2024-2025 with renewal option
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, regular school hours
• Caseload: Opportunities to work with students diagnosed with autism at the Pre-K and Elementary

Experience & Requirements:

• Prior experience working with children with autism is preferred
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is a plus
• NY Speech-Language Pathology Licensure (or eligibility)
• ASHA Certification (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for children with communication disorders related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and communication goals tailored to each student's unique needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication and language development in the classroom setting.
• Provide direct therapy services as well as consultation to school staff and families to improve communication strategies and support.
• Monitor and track student progress, making adjustments to therapy plans as needed to ensure growth in speech, language, and social communication skills.
• Conduct and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and ensure goals are met within a supportive and inclusive environment.
