Job Description

In this casual role, you will teach either skateboarding or scooter riding lessons to small groups of up to 10 kids, fostering their skills and love for the sport. Lessons occur once or twice a week and focus on creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for all participants, including children with learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality skateboarding or scooter riding lessons tailored to skill levels and individual needs.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment for all participants.
• Build strong relationships with kids and parents by providing excellent customer service.
• Manage risks and respond effectively to unexpected situations during lessons.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the program by providing feedback and ideas.

Desired Skills and Experience

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years of skateboarding or scooter riding experience.
• Proven ability to work enthusiastically and effectively with children, including those with learning disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Current First Aid Certificate.
• Current CPR Certificate.

Availability:

• Scooter Riders:
  • Thursday Afternoons: 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Saturday Mornings: 8:30 am - 10:00 am
• Skateboarders:
  • Wednesday Afternoons: 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm
  • Saturday Mornings: 8:30 am - 10:00 am
