We are seeking an innovative Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. In this Senior Systems Engineer role, you will be leading the effort to design and qualify complex electronic products to be used in airborne applications. You will derive product requirements, define architecture design, and lead the product development effort. You will lead a small team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers in execution. You will solve difficult product integration issues in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

• Derive product requirements and define design architecture for complex electronic products used in airborne applications.
• Lead a small team of electrical, software, and mechanical engineers in design implementation and integration testing.
• Perform detailed electrical and/or software design of key components within system. This includes drawing schematics and/or writing firmware/software.
• Work closely with Airborne Architect and Qualification Engineer to define and execute product qualification.
• Own execution schedule and technical risk management. Report clear status to Airborne Systems Manager.
• Lead resolution of difficult integration issues including integration with non-standardized equipment in a larger airborne system.
• Detailed documentation and configuration management with a hand-off to high-volume production

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in product design with a strong background in both electrical hardware and software technologies. This must include a background in embedded microcontrollers, power supplies, FPGAs, software, and embedded firmware.
• Experience designing a complex electronic system from ground-up – selecting appropriate technologies and methods
• Ability to debug difficult product integration issues
• Experience in leading a small project team with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with electronic product qualification including areas of EMC/EMI, thermal, and vibration.
• Airborne product design experience is preferred
