Senior Financial Analyst

Our client, a large publicly traded financial institution located in downtown Chicago, is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join their growing FP&A team. This role will focus on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs while supporting strategic financial decisions for the business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in financial analysis and modeling, with a background in financial services or similar industries.

This job in a nutshell:

• Develop and manage financial models to forecast revenues, expenses, and profitability for the business units.
• Coordinate and consolidate annual plans, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Provide financial guidance to business leaders to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Analyze expense structures and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
• Monitor market trends and provide insights that influence business strategies.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
• Implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.

We are looking for (key requirements/preferences):

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Finance
• Experience in banking, financial services, or similar industries is preferred
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

Compensation: up to $115,000 base salary + 15% bonus
