Job Description
We are seeking a Fixed Asset Security Manager in the Office of Information Technology Services in Central Office, located at 30 W. Spring St., Columbus, OH 43215.
Duties Include But Are Not Limited To - Formulates and directs the implementation of fixed asset policies and procedures relating to the daily functions of the agency.
- Maintains extensive agency-wide inventory.
- Principal assistant in the operation & maintenance of the Information Technology Services (ITS) Asset Management System for the control and tracking of fixed ITS assets throughout DYS (e.g., laptops, mobile phones, desktops, switches, and other ITS fixed assets).
- Updates, verifies, and tracks all information on automated ITS Asset Management System
- Assists in the planning, coordination and distribution of ITS assets to DYS facilities.
- Updates, verifies and tracks all information on automated ITS Asset Management System.
- Reviews and monitors enterprise security systems and takes appropriate action and responds to alarms/alerts per DYS policy and procedure
- Maintains and administration of CrowdStrike, SCCM, QUALYS Workspace, GO Guardian (utilizes patches, new builds, and assist third party patching)
- Installs, maintains, configures, upgrades and/or administers hardware and/or software in assigned multiple technology domains
- Diagnosis, analyzes and resolves issues for customer(s) across assigned multiple technology domains
- Interfaces with other platforms from a hardware and/or software perspective.
- Travels to satellite locations to resolve issues not resolved remotely.
36 mos. exp. in computer data security either through monitoring system/network traffic for anomalous activity, systems development or controlling accessibility of data.
- Or completion of associate core program in computer science; 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in computer data security either through monitoring system/network traffic for anomalous activity, systems development or controlling accessibility of data.
- Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science; 12 mos. trg. or 12 mos. exp. in computer data security either through monitoring system/network traffic for anomalous activity, systems development or controlling accessibility of data.
- Or 12 mos. exp. as Information Technology Apprentice, 69910; successful completion of Ohio Cyber Apprenticeship program; additional 12 mos. trg. or exp. in Information Systems/Information Technology with a focus in one of the following areas: Software Engineering/Development, Data Analytics/Business Intelligence, Database Administration, Network, or IT Security.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. Note: The Ohio Cyber Apprenticeship program is a program offered by the Department Administrative Services. 2000 hrs. of on-the-job experience and 200 certified instructional credits must be earned in order to complete this program.
