Safety Manager in Houston, TX, Job 1779
This is a FULL-TIME position as an employee of our manufacturing client and REQUIRES commuting to the Houston, TX area. This position CANNOT be worked from a remote setting; HOWEVER, relocation assistance within the US is available.

What you will be doing:
The Safety Manager will be responsible for the management, overall direction and oversight of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) programs, strategy, and the Safety Committee.
You will implement, audit and continuously improve OHS practices, policies and procedures with the goal of achieving the highest levels of protection for employees and company assets, while working with operations and other business leaders to achieve the highest levels of efficient productivity.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, sponsorship is not available.
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Industrial Management or related technical discipline
Five (5) or more years of OHS facility management experience in manufacturing
Demonstrated success in developing and utilizing leading and lagging KPIs resulting in driving health and safety metrics lower
Additional Preferred (not required) Competencies:
Professional Certification (GSP, ASP, CSP, CIH, COSS, MSP, CSD, etc.)
Bilingual English / Spanish
Major Responsibilities:
Partner with operations leadership and general workforce and serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding interpretation of federal, state and local OHS regulations
Lead employee training programs regarding OHS behaviors and compliance
