We are Hiring at UofL Hospitals Mother Baby unit

Location: 530 South Jackson Street, Louisville, KY 40202

Shift Options: Full Time, 7p-7a

We are a designated Baby-Friendly birthing facility by Baby-Friendly USA. The designation is awarded to birth centers that offer an optimal level of care for infant feeding and mother/baby bonding. UofL Hospitals Center for Women & Infants is the only downtown Louisville facility to earn this designation. Its the fourth facility in Kentucky to have it.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Mother Baby
  • Newborn Care
  • Antenatal patients

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Active Kentucky registered nurse license or compact license with privileges to work in Kentucky
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • All new-hire Associate degree registered nurses (new graduate and experienced) are required to start an approved BSN program within one (1) year of hire and complete an approved BSN program within three (3) years of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in nursing from an accredited college or university
  • One (1) year of patient care experience in specialty area
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
