Job Description

Isolatek International is seeking a motivated and dynamic Regional Sales Manager to lead and develop our Technical Sales Representative (TSR) team. This role is responsible for driving sales performance, strengthening customer relationships, and providing strategic guidance to achieve corporate goals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a leadership position that blends fieldwork, data analysis, and collaboration across departments to optimize market opportunities and enhance team performance.

Isolatek International is an essential business that continues to manufacture life safety structural steel fireproofing products that will save lives in the event of a fire, as well as protect their valuable assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Actively ensure the Sales Team supports the collection of outstanding accounts receivables to maintain consistent payment flow and cash management.
  2. Conduct regular ride-alongs with TSRs to:
  • Gain firsthand market insights beyond data and sales reports.
  • Address customer and market challenges.
  • Foster strong professional relationships between RSMs and TSRs.
  • Meet with key accounts.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to enhance TSR performance and customer satisfaction.
  1. Evaluate TSR performance by analyzing sales data, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and recommending targeted training and professional development programs.
  2. Communicate sales challenges and TSR performance updates to Senior Sales Managers.
  3. Take the lead in identifying, interviewing, and hiring prospective TSR candidates.
  4. Organize and oversee training programs for new and existing TSRs.
  5. Maintain awareness of competitive products and marketing strategies, reporting key insights to management.
  6. Collaborate with the Marketing Team and Product Manager to propose new product and marketing initiatives backed by comprehensive market data, including profitability and trend analysis.
  7. Analyze market potential, competitive strategies, pricing, and trends within assigned geographical areas, sharing findings with senior sales and marketing teams.
  8. Contribute to strategic planning initiatives, providing leadership to execute action plans that align with corporate objectives.
  9. Represent the company by attending and participating in sales meetings, training sessions, industry groups, association meetings, and trade shows.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Collaboration and Contacts:

  • Internal: Marketing, Research & Development, Credit.
  • External: Customers, including architects, applicators, general contractors, and building owners.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises Technical Sales Representatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in sales management, preferably in technical or field sales.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities to foster team growth and performance.
  • Proficient in strategic planning and market analysis.
  • Experience in recruitment, training, and professional development programs.
  • Must be willing to travel 60-85%.
  • Must reside in the Western United States or be willing to relocate.
