About Us: XIT Rural Telephone is a leading rural telecom providing fiber solutions to northwest panhandle. Our commitment to delivering exceptional internet, IPTV, and dial tone service drives us to improve and expand our network.

Job Summary:

This position oversees purchasing materials and equipment to support plant operations, distributing materials and equipment to personnel, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will balance a keen eye for detail with the ability to build strong vendor relationships and maintain stock levels to support our operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate pricing, and manage vendor contracts.
• Place orders for equipment, cables, tools, and other materials required for installation, maintenance, and customer support.
• Track orders to ensure timely delivery
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
• Organize and maintain warehouse inventory for easy access
• Keep accurate, up-to-date inventory record.
• Prepare and pack orders for field technicians and coordinate timely distribution.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documentation.
• Monitor inventory usage, forecast needs, and adjust order quantities to maintain stock levels.
• Work closely with field technicians, NOC, and finance teams.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding inventory levels, potential shortages, or delivery delays.
• Perform other duties as assigned by XIT

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Ability to lift and move materials (up to [50] lbs) and work in a warehouse environment.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Experience in purchasing, inventory control, or warehouse management is a plus
