We are seeking a motivated and skilled a full-time and part-time Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist
Assistant to join our team. The candidate will work collaboratively with our experienced
and courteous staff to support our patients in their rehabilitation journey. This role
involves assisting in the reduction of pain, improvement of strength, enhancement of
range of motion, joint stability and restoring patients to their full functional capacity as
applicable.
Responsibilities
1. Work under supervision of licensed physical therapist and in cooperation with
referring physicians, insurance companies, and other healthcare professionals.
2. Implement comprehensive care plans to achieve rehabilitation goals.
3. Provide excellent patient care with a focus on individual needs and concerns.
4. Contribute to creating a positive and supportive rehabilitation environment.
5. Collaborate with the physical therapy team to ensure a coordinated and effective
approach.
6. Document patient progress, treatment plans. and other relevant information.
7. Stay updated on industry advancements and incorporate best practices into daily
responsibilities.
8. Uphold the values and reputation of DSC Physical Therapy, Inc.
Qualifications
1. Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
2. Valid State licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
5. Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
6. Knowledge of outpatient orthopedic physical therapy practices
7. Experience with modalities such as: Cottrell 90/90, whirlpool, IFC, TENS, US and
Russian electrostimulation.
8. Proficiency in manual therapy techniques including soft tissue mobilization,
Myofascial Release and various joint mobilization techniques.
9. Familiarity with gait training protocols.
