Job Description

LHH is working with a leading manufacturer of high-quality consumer and commercial product goods, known for innovation, precision, and excellence in our industry seeking a Paint Manager in Salt Lake City. This role includes overseeing daily operations, maintaining quality control, optimizing production efficiency, and leading a team of painters and technicians. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, experience in industrial painting applications, and a deep understanding of paint materials, equipment, and safety standards.

Compensation includes a base salary of 70K-$85K + bonus. Medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid holidays and time off are available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee the entire painting process, including surface preparation, application, curing, and finishing, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production schedules.
  • Quality Control: Implement and maintain strict quality standards for paint application, ensuring consistency, durability, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop a team of painters, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance paint application processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  • Equipment & Materials Management: Maintain and optimize painting equipment, troubleshoot issues, and manage paint and supply inventory to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce OSHA, EPA, and company-specific safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with hazardous material regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, engineering, and quality control teams to align painting processes with overall manufacturing objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a paint management or supervisory role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of various paint types (e.g., powder coating, liquid coatings, electrostatic painting) and application techniques.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop teams, drive productivity, and maintain a high-performance work environment.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong troubleshooting skills for paint defects, equipment malfunctions, and process inefficiencies.
  • Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
