The Network Services team works hand in hand with all technology teams within the Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology (EASST) division to support the goals of Compass Technology and Compass Group. The Network Engineer is responsible for the ongoing configuration and support of the organization's network infrastructure that powers the wired, wireless, and VoIP needs of the corporate campus and remote offices. This individual with be responsible for deploying, configuring, and maintaining enterprise level networks to support data communications. The Network Engineer works as a member of the Network Services team and is charged to understand the goals/objectives of that team and how it supports those of the Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology division.Job Responsibilities Responsible for the operational stability and support of our LAN, WAN, and wireless networking infrastructure to achieve targeted uptime and reliabilityResponsible for the deployment and integration of new sites and servicesMonitor the health of all networking devices and WAN/Internet circuits leveraging tools like SolarWinds for automated alerting and reports Perform backup and restore testing/validation weekly/monthly/quarterlyProvide tier 1and tier 2 support for incidents related to any technology owned and supported by the Network Services group Cisco Catalyst and Meraki network management.Firewall configuration and management, Cisco ASA and/or Firepower NGFW preferredSD-WAN technologies including Meraki.Experience with network protocols, such as EIGRP, OSPF, DNS, and NAT. Understanding of general security concepts and protocols such as IPSec, SSL/TLS, IDS/IPS, WAF and DDoS protection. Network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds. VoIP communications and unified communications management experience. Familiarly with cloud and hybrid cloud networks Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, or combination of education and experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skillsPositive attitude and solutions-oriented thinkingAbility to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesCisco Catalyst and Meraki network management.Firewall configuration and management, Cisco ASA and/or Firepower NGFW preferredSD-WAN technologies including Meraki.Experience with network protocols, such as EIGRP, OSPF, DNS, and NAT.
