Position: K–2 Math Instructional Coach

Organization Type: Charter School

Location: Brooklyn, NY 11206

Work Schedule: Fully On-Site, Monday–Friday

Hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Start Date: August 1, 2025

Salary Range: $75,000–$90,000

About the Role:

As a K–2 Math Instructional Coach, you will play a key leadership role in supporting teachers, strengthening instructional practices, and enhancing math outcomes for early elementary students. You will:

• Partner with K–2 classroom teachers to develop and refine math lesson plans aligned to Common Core and school-wide goals.
• Model high-quality math instruction and co-teach lessons to support teacher development and student engagement.
• Analyze student data to identify trends, inform instruction, and design targeted interventions for struggling learners.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development to K–2 teachers to enhance instructional effectiveness.
• Collaborate with school leaders to ensure math instruction is rigorous, engaging, and equitable across all classrooms.

What We’re Looking For:

• A valid New York State Teaching Certification (early childhood or elementary certification strongly preferred).
• At least a bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education, Mathematics, or a related field).
• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience , with a strong background in K–2 math instruction.
• Prior experience in instructional coaching , teacher mentorship, or professional development preferred.
• Proven track record of raising student achievement in math, especially in early elementary grades.
• Must complete and clear a New York State fingerprint background check (IdentoGo) before starting employment.
