Scope of Position

The Department of Marketing, Communications, and Digital Strategy is responsible for the overall brand management of Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, The James, and the College of Medicine. This marketing consultant position is within the department's Growth Marketing and Reputation Strategy Team, focusing on reputation and volume-building marketing initiatives. They are responsible for brand management, marketing, and advertising activities for the College of Medicine and assigned service lines and projects for Wexner Medical Center.

Position Summary

The Marketing Consultant position manages the development and implementation of marketing programs to support the assigned areas' strategic and financial goals and objectives. Responsible for overall project management, building and maintaining multiple client relationships, and providing creative solutions to marketing challenges. They are brand champions and will assist in creating marketing plans, creative briefs, event materials, and marketing tactics to achieve objectives. The person should be a good client manager, collaborator, and project manager who can build and maintain relationships with clients and within the department. The individual must handle multiple projects, be comfortable with change, and provide creative solutions to leverage marketing and digital channels to short and long-term business goals. Projects and service lines are subject to change based on the organization's needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or related field and 3 years of experience in project management, client service, and execution of strategic marketing initiatives.
