The Position: The Marketing Assistant will assist with communication and marketing programs to communicate key messages, build brand awareness, and support company goals for brands under Del Sol Food including BRIANNAS, Caf Mexicano and John Wm. Macy's Bakery.
Position Responsibilities: - Assist with campaigns to help build brand awareness through social media, media relations, community relations and other promotional opportunities.
- Monitor, analyze and communicate results of public relations, social media and marketing campaigns.
- Daily communication with customers includes answering questions, responding to concerns, and helping resolve consumer inquiries.
- Analyze and assist with reporting on consumer correspondence activity and trends.
- Assist with social content strategy including planning, creation, and execution to gain followers, drive engagement, and build brand awareness across all social channels.
- Provide day-to-day support of all social media accounts monitoring engagement and communication.
- Research and analyze digital and social campaign performance by providing updates and reports.
- Provide writing, editing and research support for communication projects as directed.
- Track media relations to include development of media lists, industry insights and public relations trends.
- Support e-commerce platform and fulfillment.
- Proofing and reviewing marketing and promotional materials.
- Inventory control for promotional materials and marketing collateral.
- Auditing and monitoring online content for brands.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or related field required
- Proven work experience in Sales, Marketing, Communications or another relevant role with 2 plus years' experience in Microsoft Office
- A strong desire to learn and ability to multi-task and work independently
- A basic understanding of marketing and communication concepts
- Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A strong grasp of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and Tik Tok
- An ability to work in a dynamic environment, with rapidly changing priorities
- Team-player mindset with high level of dedication to the brand
- Ability to prioritize work and succeed under deadlines
- Flexibility and willingness to perform tasks both large and small
Desired Skills and Competencies: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must work proactively with all departments in the company
- High level of professionalism
