Position: Maintenance Technician

Location: DeKalb, IL

Compensation: $25 - $40 per hour (10-20 hours of overtime is typical per week)

Shifts Available:

• 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• 3:00 PM - 1:00 AM

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform pump maintenance and repairs.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to enhance production efficiency.

Essential Duties and Additional Responsibilities:

• Lubricate machines.
• Perform mechanical repairs on equipment.
• Handle basic plumbing, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Utilize basic math skills and a problem-solving mindset.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects.
• Assist in documenting repair and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Operate a forklift as required.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated experience in industrial manufacturing maintenance (experience in the food industry is not required).
• Strong expertise in pump maintenance and repair.
• Electrical experience is crucial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
