Job Title: Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) Counselor

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate  Licensed Master Social Workers (LMSWs)to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide individual and group counseling to clients struggling with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health issues. This role involves facilitating treatment plans, supporting recovery efforts, and fostering an environment of healing and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy sessions for clients in substance abuse treatment programs.
• Support clients in understanding addiction, developing coping mechanisms, and addressing underlying issues.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including clinicians, case managers, and medical professionals, to ensure holistic care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and agency standards.
• Participate in treatment planning meetings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Provide crisis intervention and support relapse prevention strategies.
• Ensure services are culturally competent and trauma-informed, meeting client needs effectively.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW)from an accredited program.
• Current LMSW License in the state of Maryland (required).
• Experience working in substance abuse treatment or mental health settings (preferred).
• Strong understanding of addiction, recovery, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, MI, DBT).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and EMR systems .
