The IT Procurement Director will lead the IT procurement function, responsible for sourcing and managing all hardware, software, and IT services for the organization. This role is essential in ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies, vendor management, contract negotiation, and maintaining the integrity of the company’s IT spend procure-to-pay procedures. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in IT procurement, a deep understanding of the technology landscape, and proven success in negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Lead the procurement of IT hardware (e.g., servers, networking equipment, end-user devices) and software solutions (licenses, SaaS, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal IT teams, vendors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure the best pricing, product availability, and contract terms.
  • Ensure that IT procurement activities align with organizational goals, budget, and compliance requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers to secure cost-effective agreements and mitigate risks.
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals, extensions, and terminations.
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and finance departments to ensure all contracts meet company standards and regulations.

Vendor Management:

  • Oversee the performance of key vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Conduct regular vendor reviews and assessments to evaluate pricing, service quality, and compliance with contractual terms.
  • Work with internal IT teams to assess new vendors and technologies.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Monitor the IT procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial objectives.
  • Track and report on procurement activities, savings, and expenditure to key stakeholders.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service delivery.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships and contracts.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and legal regulations that may impact procurement practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT procurement, with a strong background in sourcing hardware, software, and services and contract negotiation/administration.
  • Proven track record in contract negotiation and vendor management.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud solutions, software licensing, and related technologies.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience managing large-scale procurement projects and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience in enterprise-level procurement with knowledge of ERP or procurement software.
