About the Role
The Company is seeking an Interim Executive Director for a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to enhancing healthcare by supporting medical education and related endeavors for students. The successful candidate will be the chief development officer, responsible for managing the daily operations of the COE and coordinating its policies and projects within the parameters set by the Board of Directors. This role is focused on fundraising, financial and legal compliance, board governance support, communications and public relations, and promotion of philanthropy and external relations. Key responsibilities for the Executive Director include identifying and pursuing philanthropic opportunities, managing donor communications, and overseeing the financial management of the COE. The role also involves planning and implementing fundraising events, ensuring legal compliance, and serving as a liaison to external financial management staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree, at least 5 years' of experience in both fundraising and nonprofit administration, and a background in marketing and communications. Strong written and oral communication skills, a proven track record in philanthropy, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative environment are essential. A Master's degree and experience in grant writing are preferred.
