POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Sr. Supply Chain Manager, the Inbound Freight Coordinator Specialist, will act as the primary liaison for all inbound shipping, warehousing, and drayage-related inquiries across various departments within Acme. This role involves coordinating the timely collection and updating of essential shipping documents, ensuring the accuracy of data in the F&O system, and generating regular reports to enhance operational efficiency. The specialist will also be tasked with maintaining data to prevent customs charges and demurrage, as well as developing and updating key performance indicators to help enhancing overall supply chain performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Act as the primary contact for all inbound shipping, warehousing, and drayage-related queries for all Acme departments, including Customer Service (CS), Sales Business Units (SBUs), Finance, and inventory management.
  • Follow up on all documents and help collect Importer Security Filings (ISFs), original Bills of Lading (B/Ls), and import documents from vendors. Update third-party brokerage to ensure on-time receiving and delivery.
  • Update and maintain shipping data in F&O to ensure the system has accurate and timely information for the Acme Hardesty Business, focusing on ETLs for packages, Iso Tanks and airfreight/small packages shipments.
  • Upload and maintain Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) in F&O for packages, Iso Tanks and airfreight/small packages shipments.
  • Create and send weekly arrival reports for warehouses.
  • Create and send monthly drayage schedules for the brokerage company.
  • Review inbound loading and deliveries, present data to the Supply Chain team to ensure a smooth inbound flow.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in F&O by performing regular data reviews and addressing all discrepancies to avoid customs fines and demurrage.
  • Maintain inbound Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to manage and improve inbound operations efficiency.

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  • Recent Supply Chain degree or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in logistics.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal departments and third-party partners.
  • Ability to efficiently utilize Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good understanding of supply chain processes, including shipping, warehousing, and drayage.
  • Ability to produce and maintain reports and schedules.
  • Proficiency in learning and utilizing F&O (Finance and Operations) systems.
  • Ability to learn processes and maintain key performance indicators.
