**This requisition is for the Graduate Nurse (Early Exit BSN) Nursing Students** interested in Critical and Acute Care at our Holy Cross Silver Spring Hospital. We are seeking exceptional talent who is ready to blossom their careers with an exceptional health care system! We have opportunities in: **ICU, SICU, 3S/IMC, 6E/Neuro, 4S/Cardiac, 5E/W Med Surg, 6S/Oncology** . Please indicate your top two **areas of interest in your resume** . Candidates that are selected will be scheduled for a virtual interview with the Director or Nurse Manager.

**What makes our internship and residency program different from others?**

_Our graduate nurse program is comprised of four complementary components:_

+ Hospital & Nursing Orientation: a multi-day introduction to our organization

+ Internships: 9 - 13-week competency-based orientation program

+ Mentorship: 3+ month peer support program

+ Nurse Residency Program: 12-month professional development coursework

_Our program is designed to introduce the graduate and novice nurse into the practice arena with sensitivity to the ever-changing dynamics in our world and environment. With all the stressors inherent to a new job or role, we have purposefully introduced changes to our program to allow a more gradual immersion - with the result being a more confident and satisfied practitioner._

Our CAP program (Clinical Advancement Program) offers Nurses the opportunity to advance both in recognition and financial reward.

During your interview process, you may choose a day of one or more "shadow" experiences in departments you believe you have an interest in practicing. In each experience, you will be paired with an experienced nurse - you'll sample both patient care and team dynamics.
