Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Candidate will manage, prepare and direct funeral services
  • Conduct and coordinate the delivery of remains to the mortuary
  • Candidate will prepare remains for services and interment  
  • Demonstrate Company Core Values of Compassion, Quality, Honesty, Integrity and Professionalism in performing all aspects of position.
  • Provide the highest quality services and products and to satisfy the needs of all client families.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that you get along with families, co-workers and management.
  • Ability to deliver premier funeral services complete from the first call to final disposition and maintain consistent positive reviews and family satisfaction. 
  • Ability to serve multiple families at once while maintaining attention to detail, staying organized, and striving for a zero-error standard. 
  • Participate in market outreach activities in the community including one-on-one presentations, group presentations and event participation within the community, civic or fraternal organizations as a part of local promotional and outreach efforts. 
  • Participate in the general upkeep of the facilities, grounds, and company vehicles. (Our facilities are cleaned professionally each week) 
  • Occasional lifting, pushing and pulling, with assistance, of objects up to approximately 250 pounds. 
  • Occasional stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and carrying objects weighing up to approximately 30 pounds for short distances. 
  • Must be comfortable using technology in the family conference, in the office, and apps on your personal smart phone. 
  • Willing to share your personal cellphone number with client families
  • Must be capable of communicating with management and supervised employees. 
  • Must be free from judgment-impairing conditions, disease or addictions, or those, which impair ability to interact with employees, management or public.
  • Position includes shared on-call rotation hours that includes some evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. 
  • Geographic boundaries for this position may encompass more than one firm or location in the future.

Required Qualifications 

  • 2 Years Experience as a Licensed Funeral Director 
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent 
  • Possess a valid Texas Funeral Director's license or ability to reciprocate
  • Valid Texas Driver's License 
  • Must pass a Background Check

Compensation

$55,000 - $65,000 (base + bonuses)
