Job Description

The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, ensuring a safe, functional, and luxurious environment for our guests and staff. This role requires a strong background in engineering, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the engineering team, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hotel policies, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors and vendors, ensuring quality work and adherence to budget and timelines.
  • Assist in budget preparation and cost control measures for the engineering department.

  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, guests, and external partners.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Certification in a relevant field (e.g., HVAC, electrical) is a plus.
