Job Title: Employee Relations Specialist

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Our client is looking for a dedicated Employee Relations Specialist to join their team in Portland, Oregon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and fostering a positive work environment. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a thorough understanding of employment law, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct investigations into employee complaints and workplace issues.
• Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations matters.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote fair and consistent treatment of employees.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Facilitate conflict resolution and mediation sessions.
• Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and outcomes.
• Collaborate with HR and management to improve workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Employee Relations Specialist or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of employment law and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
