Job Summary:

This leading energy business is seeking an experienced and strategic Engineering Director to lead midstream and downstream engineering and construction projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of pipeline, storage, and transportation infrastructure to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in midstream and/ or downstream operations, project management, and engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the engineering team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
• Oversee the design, construction, and maintenance of midstream and downstream assets
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including PHMSA, DOT, OSHA, and environmental standards.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s operational and business objectives.
• Manage capital projects, budgets, and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, HSE, regulatory, and commercial departments.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance efficiency and sustainability in midstream operations.
• Serve as a technical resource for incident investigations, risk assessments, and emergency response planning.
• Foster a culture of innovation, safety, and excellence in engineering practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or related field); Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in midstream engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Strong knowledge of design, construction, integrity management, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Familiarity with industry software, modeling tools, and asset management systems.
