Location: Massillon, OH

Pay range: $16/hr

  • Full Time- 37.5 hours a week.

Job Summary

Assist with preparing/cooking high quality, tasty foods in large quantities. Assist with updating all recipes and meal production and other production duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with prepping and cooking food items. Accurately follow recipes and menus. Follow production sheets.
  • Prepare cold count sheets and prepare/update driver daily load sheets.
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
  • Operate cooking and production equipment reporting any problems to proper staff.
  • Maintain needed supplies using First In, First Out (FIFO) principles, ensure appropriate ingredients are available for the next days meal and proper weights/measures are used.
  • Understand and utilize SERVtracker system for meal operations. Order and track meal updates for all sites via the system.
  • Ensure proper packaging and labeling of end product.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on temperature logs, daily production sheets, purchases, incident reports, etc. Comply with all Heath Department regulations.
  • Assist with outreach initiatives to increase the number of clients served.
  • Assist with ordering products from vendors and cleaning the kitchen and delivery/pick-up areas.
  • Instruct jobs workers/volunteers on what duties need completed. Lead the kitchen in the absence of the Cook.
  • Deliver meals when necessary in box truck or personal vehicle.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Health Department regulations and food storage requirements.
  • Two years institutional cooking experience preferred.
  • ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification preferred.
  • Valid Drivers License and reliable form of transportation
