Job Title: Cardiovascular Biologist

Reports To : Senior Vice President, Head of Research and Preclinical, Chief CMC Officer

Department: Research and Development

Position: Full-time regular

As we navigate through critical growth phases, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Biologist to join our innovative R&D team and play a pivotal role in the discovery and development of novel therapeutics.

Job Description: 

 We are looking for a skilled Cardiovascular Biologist to lead drug screening efforts, select promising candidate drugs, and design animal studies to evaluate their potential for human cardiovascular disease applications. The ideal candidate will have strong background in cardiovascular biology and expertise in in vitro and in vivo assay development in cardiovascular areas. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research that could transform lives.

Key Responsibilities:

 

· Assay development: Design, optimize, and execute in vitro and in vivo assays to identify compounds with therapeutic potential for cardiovascular diseases.

· Animal Study Design: Develop and oversee in vivo studies using relevant animal models to assess the efficacy, pharmacokinetics, and safety of candidate drugs for human disease applications.

 

· Data Analysis & Interpretation: Perform detailed analyses of experimental results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide decision-making for drug development pipelines.

· Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, presentations, and peer-reviewed publications to communicate findings to internal stakeholders and the scientific community .

· Collaboration: Work closely with scientists on the team. 

 

Qualifications:

· Education: Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Biology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Postdoctoral experience is preferred.

· Experience:

o 3+ years in cardiovascular research, with a focus on drug discovery and development.

o Proven expertise in assay development.

o Hands-on experience designing and conducting animal studies (e.g., rodent models of cardiovascular disease).

· Skills:

o Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology and pathology.

o Proficiency in molecular and cellular biology techniques (e.g., cell culture, qPCR, Western Blot, histology).

o Excellent analytical skills and experience with statistical software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, R).

o Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

· Preferred Qualifications:

o Experience with in vivo imaging or electrophysiology techniques.

o Experience working with CROs

o Experience with advanced vitro cell systems (e.g., vascular organoid, endothelial and smooth muscle cells coculture).

o Publication track record in cardiovascular research or drug development.
