UNIVERSAL PLANT SERVICES IS LOOKING FOR A CAPITAL PROCUREMENT MANAGER.
A is responsible for managing and administering the day-to-day operations and delivery of procurement services for capital projects. They participate in contract procurement, manage multiple projects, and oversee the entire project closeout . They also perform contractor selection processes, prepare budgets, and monitor and control expenditures
Responsibilities are as follows
Developing purchasing strategies
Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers
Coordinating with internal teams regarding supply needs
Overseeing the procurement process from start to finish
Evaluating brand and target audience to determine what products to order
Monitoring delivery times from warehouses or manufacturing plants to retail locations
Training purchasing staff members to carry out purchasing tasks
Conducting and analyzing market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers
Negotiating terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best possible prices and agreements
Position will be based in Deer Park, TX with 10 percent travel.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to pass drug screen.
· Must be able to pass background check.
· Must have good communication skills.
· Must have transportation to and from job site.
· Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with other employees.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· This position requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Primavera.
· 5 years’ experience as a Lead or Master Scheduler with Refinery experience is needed.
