Job Description

General Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, oversee quality control, and supervise subordinates to ensure timely delivery of drawings to engineers.
• Train new operators and provide ongoing training to subordinate computer technicians.
• Review completed construction drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards and regulations.
• Develop productivity tools to enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT to ensure company hardware and software remain up to date for optimal CAD operations.

Required Education/Licenses:

• High school diploma or technical school training with coursework in computer-aided drafting, or equivalent experience.

Required Experience:

• 12+ years of experience as an expert drafter, designer, and computer technician.
• Proficiency in the latest versions of AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Strong technical knowledge of CAD operations and relevant engineering disciplines.
• Extensive expertise in advanced applications of system hardware and software.
• Experience in project scheduling, personnel management, and work production techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
• Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in work assignments on short notice based on project requirements.
