Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Unit Leadership
  • Oversee all aspects of the business unit, including product development, strategy, and execution, to achieve growth and profitability goals.
  • Drive the internal development and management of precision mechanical components and motion control product lines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with engineering, marketing, and sales strategies.
  • Develop and manage product roadmaps and business plans to support long-term growth.
  • Product Development and Technical Expertise
  • Serve as an engineering resource for complex gearing, motion control, and precision mechanical projects and solutions.
  • Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to deliver innovative, high-quality products.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team during customer engagements and technical sales calls.
  • Support product lifecycle management, including market research, VOC integration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer and Market Engagement
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop effective sales strategies tailored to the aerospace, defense, medical, automation, and robotics sectors.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand challenges and provide customized technical solutions.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and client meetings, showcasing product innovations and capabilities.
  • Team Collaboration and Leadership
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless product delivery and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Act as a mentor and technical leader within the organization, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Support go-to-market strategies for new product launches, ensuring alignment with customer demands and market trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience managing technical product lines and business operations in aerospace, defense, medical, automation, or robotics industries.
  • Understanding of aerospace and defense industry requirements, including compliance and certifications.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals and deliver innovative products.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Technical proficiency in precision gearing, mechanical components, and motor technologies.
