Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Legal Billing & Collections Coordinator for one of our extremely successful and well established firms in the Downtown Los Angeles area. The Billing & Collections Coordinator must be able to work independently and will be responsible for the analysis, coordination and resolution of billing issues, including ensuring appropriate communications with involved parties is consistently maintained. The Billing & Collections Coordinator must be extremely detail oriented, deadline-focused, and be able to work in fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the full billing cycle, including processing, editing, proofreading, and finalizing pre-bills as directed by responsible attorneys.
• Collect, track, and maintain billing data using charts and spreadsheets to monitor collections and client communications.
• Oversee electronic client submissions and maintain accurate records on third-party online billing platforms.
• Review Aging Reports and assist in contacting clients regarding past-due balances to support collection efforts.
• Provide attorneys with accurate, up-to-date billing information and documentation to assist with accounts receivable management.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a minimum of 2 years of Legal billing experience in a mid to large scale Professional Services environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must possess excellent technical skills including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Elite and or CMS experience is highly preferred
