encompasses over 500 acres of organic vineyard, strategically located in six of Napa Valley's finest appellations:
Oakville, Rutherford, Howell Mountain, St. Helena, Calistoga, and Oak Knoll. This terroir and micro-climate
diversity allows for remarkable latitude for experimentation and unmatched quality of elegant and balanced wines.

Heitz Cellar is looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Wine Curator at
our Tasting Salon in St. Helena. This is an exciting opportunity with a company dedicated to producing outstanding
wines. The ideal candidate embraces change, loves to learn, and is ready to become a key player in an iconic

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•  Provide hospitality and sales support by completing daily opening and closing procedures, ensuring hospitality
areas are sufficiently supplied with service items, and daily tasting experiences are set and cleared
•  Complete wine inventory counts on a bi-weekly basis and supplies inventory as requested
•  Assist chef with food pairings
•  In a warm and friendly manner, greet guests and initiate their experiences when needed.
•  Maintain visual displays such as floral arrangements and table settings
•  Maintain strong knowledge of all tasting offerings/experiences available at the Tasting Salon, Estate, and off�site events
•  Support an efficient flow of service by prioritizing tasks, such as washing and polishing glasses, setting up for
tastings/experiences, cleaning, and various other tasks
•  Respond graciously to complaints and help resolve any issues
•  Create memories and relationships through storytelling and educate through sharing knowledge of our
winemaking and viticulture practices
•  Create and maintain a guest-oriented environment focused on building customer relations and loyalty
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay busy and active during downtime
•  Schedule includes weekends, holidays, and some evenings required
•  Assist with events as assigned, including opening and closing event venue, setting up and striking, wine and
food service, etc. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
•  Must be 21 years of age.
•  High School Diploma or Equivalent required
•  2+ years experience in a luxury hospitality setting, or retail sales position
•  Must be flexible/available to work weekends, special events, and holidays, occasionally more than 8 hours
in a day.
•  Possess a valid driver's license.
•  Enthusiasm for wine and desire to learn.
•  Demonstrated ability to work successfully on a team in a luxury hospitality and sales environment.
•  Ability to multi-task and hold multiple priorities, while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
•  Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
•  Proactive and thorough in completing existing tasks and pursuing new assignments.
•  Must be flexible and manage constantly changing priorities with a positive attitude
•  Reliability is crucial, arriving punctually and consistently following all safety regulations and operating
procedures.

Physical Requirements
•  Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 40 pounds at varying frequencies
•  Ability to operate various machinery types to include, but not limited to, dishwashers, leaf blowers, etc.
•  Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
•  Ability to stand for long periods
