Job Title: Application Developer

*No C2C/No Sponsorship*

Location: Hybrid - Milwaukee, WI (At least once a week)

Duration: 6+ months

Pay: $70-75/hr

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Application Developer to design, build, and optimize data-driven solutions that support seamless integration, automation, and API services. This role is critical to delivering scalable solutions that meet both internal and external customer needs, with a strong emphasis on healthcare data exchange, regulatory compliance, and member-facing API enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop complex data extracts, applications, and ad hoc queries using technologies such as SQL, SSIS, .NET, Informatica, and XML.
• Design, support, and enhance member-facing API services, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable access to healthcare data.
• Work with HIPAA X12 transactions (837, 835, 277, 999) and custom EDI file formats, with a strong focus on healthcare encounter data.
• Identify, triage, and troubleshoot technical issues in applications and data workflows; implement code fixes and enhancements to maintain optimal performance and functionality.
• Maintain and improve Business Intelligence (BI) tools and data solutions, resolving production issues quickly and ensuring data accuracy.
• Collaborate with Business Systems Analysts to gather and interpret requirements, ensuring data consistency and alignment with core systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues, with a focus on proactive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of coding standards, processes, and best practices for automation and integration.
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate across teams to support company goals and drive innovation in data solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 4+ years of experience in application development, data analysis, or technical solution delivery.
• Proficient with SQL Server, T-SQL, SSIS, C#, Informatica, XML, and .NET technologies.
• Experience supporting and developing RESTful APIs, especially in the healthcare domain.
• Knowledge of secure file transfer and encryption protocols such as FTP, SFTP, and PGP.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and reporting tools like SQL Reporting Services.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex issues, deliver code fixes, and deploy enhancements in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
